I am a self taught artist and have always had some sort of "project" going. I love architecture, design and solving problems. That is probably why I loved the last "full time job" I had as an Assistant Controller for a Home Builder in Tampa. I loved my job - but was looking for a more creative outlet. I took a couple of art classes and was instantly drawn toward glass painting.
After a year of "hobby" painting I made a decision to leave my job and start selling hand painted glassware for a living. I think that is the feeling everyone strives for - to have that "thing" in your life that you are so passionate about and so sure it will be a success that you don’t listen to nay sayers and you go for it!
Kim Pall Creations, Inc was started in 1996. One of the first things I started painting was a Miller beer bottle with a liquor pourer on the top. My husband came up with the name “the little bottle that could.....” I added “be a dish soap dispenser, be an oil/vinegar dispenser, etc.... and we took off! We sold to large retailers like Stein Mart & Bealls, catalog companies and 2500 gift shops.
On a very well deserved vacation in May of 2001 we came to visit the 30A area and FELL in LOVE. We knew where we wanted to be and from there everything fell into place - we sold everything and bought a lot here in this little slice of heaven - Scenic 30A!
Since moving here in 2002, I have painted everything from windows & signs to glassware & furniture. I have also faux finished walls and love to work with designers or customers to “refresh” living spaces.
My most recent passion - hand painted game tables and cloths - started when I created a fun, one -of- a -kind game table with "signature" checkers that I hand made with shells. I love creating one-of-a-kind, useful pieces of art!
I wake up everyday to see what new and creative adventure lies ahead! I am so blessed —look at this beautiful place! To live and work in a place you love—what could be better than that!
